Cleaning Conveyor Belts

Usage: Suitable for cleaning conveyor belts in a fully automatic gluing machine.

The gluing machine of insulating glass equipment typically consists of conveyor belts and a glue supply system. The conveyor belts are responsible for transporting adhesive, but over time, they can become sticky due to the curing of the adhesive and require cleaning and maintenance to ensure the proper operation of the equipment.

Here is an overview of cleaning conveyor belts in the gluing machine of insulating glass equipment:

1. Preparation: First, ensure that the power and adhesive supply system of the gluing machine are turned off to ensure the equipment is in a stopped and safe state.

2. Disassemble the Conveyor Belt: Open the protective cover of the equipment and use a wrench or screwdriver to remove the screws securing the conveyor belt, then remove the conveyor belt from the equipment.

3. Clean the Conveyor Belt: Place the removed conveyor belt in a washing tank and use detergent and warm water for cleaning. You can use a brush or cloth for scrubbing, but be careful not to use overly hard tools that could scratch the surface of the belt. During cleaning, you can change the washing solution multiple times until all adhesive residues on the belt surface are completely removed.

4. Rinse the Conveyor Belt: Rinse the cleaned conveyor belt thoroughly with clean water to ensure that detergent and adhesive residues are completely washed away.

5. Drying and Installation: Allow the rinsed conveyor belt to air dry completely before reinstalling it in the gluing machine. Ensure that the belt is correctly installed and securely fastened.

6. Maintenance: To extend the service life of the conveyor belt, regular maintenance is crucial. It is recommended to periodically check the wear of the belt and promptly replace severely worn belts.
