China's glass industry is showing a good development trend

The healthy development of China's glass industry is mainly due to the following reasons: firstly, strong market demand and great market potential. This is because the overall rapid development of China's national economy, as well as the sustained development of emerging industries such as construction, transportation, electronic information, and solar energy, has effectively driven the development of the glass industry. The second is that the national macroeconomic control measures have played a guiding role. In response to the current problems in the development of the domestic glass industry, in order to accelerate the transformation of economic growth mode and promote structural adjustment,the National Development and Reform Commission and six other ministries jointly issued several opinions on promoting the structural adjustment of the flat glass industry, further clarifying the guiding ideology and target measures for the structural adjustment of the glass industry during the 11th Five Year Plan period.

 The issuance of this document has played an important guiding role in suppressing low-level redundant construction and promoting industry structural adjustment. Thirdly, the export situation of glass products is good. Customs data shows that from January to July this year, China's exports of flat glass increased by 61%, especially in the export of automotive glass and deeply processed glass products. Fourthly, "standardizing the market, promoting integrity and self-discipline" has promoted the stability of the glass market. In the past, due to factors such as strong production continuity, dispersed enterprises, and tight funds, the glass industry experienced severe competition and disorderly competition in the event of overcapacity.

 In recent years, the China Architectural Glass and Industrial Glass Association has started by regulating market order and strengthening regional coordination. Regularly holding market seminars to jointly analyze the market, advocating "honesty and trustworthiness" in the glass industry, eliminating covert operations, and adopting self-discipline measures such as adjusting product variety structure, avoiding competition among homogeneous products, reducing production costs, and digesting factors such as rising prices of raw materials, have maintained market stability.
