The effect of argon gas filling on insulating glass

(1) After filling with argon gas, it can reduce the pressure difference between inside and outside, maintain pressure balance, and reduce glass cracking caused by pressure difference.

(2) After filling with argon gas, the K value of the insulated glass can be effectively improved, the condensation of indoor side glass can be reduced, and the comfort level can be improved. That is, the insulated glass after inflation is less prone to condensation and frost, but non inflation is not the direct cause of fogging.

(3) Due to the inherent properties of argon gas as an inert gas, it can slow down thermal convection inside the insulating glass and significantly improve its sound insulation and noise reduction effect, which can enhance the insulation and sound insulation of the insulating glass.

(4) It can increase the strength of large-area insulating glass, so that it will not collapse in the middle due to lack of support.

(5) Increase wind pressure resistance strength.

(6) Because it is filled with dry inert gas, it can replace the air with moisture inside the cavity, keeping the environment inside the cavity drier and extending the service life of the molecular sieve inside the aluminum spacer frame.

(7) When using low radiation LOW-E glass or coated glass, the inert gas filled in can protect the film layer, reduce oxidation rate, and extend the service life of the coated glass.

Argon is a rare gas with the chemical symbol Ar and atomic number 18. Argon is a colorless, odorless, and non-toxic gas that is stable at room temperature and pressure. During the preparation process of insulating glass, argon gas is filled in the cavity between two pieces of glass to improve the insulation performance, anti haze effect, and sound insulation performance of the insulating glass. Due to the lower thermal conductivity of argon compared to air, hollow glass filled with argon has better insulation effect.
